Descriptions
Urgo Algoplaque Hydrocolloid Plaster 10 cm x 12 cm is used for pressure sores, leg ulcers, superficial burns, epidermal abrasions. This plaster is used in the moist wound healing technique, based on carboxymethylcellulose or CMC in the form of hydrocolloids, small particles which form a gel on contact with exudates. Flexible, semi-occlusive, sterile, 1mm-thick, transparent, square-shaped Plasters. Available in 3 sizes: 10cm x 12cm, 15cm x 15cm, 20cm x 20cm.

Directions for use
Remove protective silicone film. Apply the adhesive side of the plaster to the surface to be treated (first cleaned with physiological saline and dried). The plaster can remain in place for 4 to 6 days, depending on the stage of the wound (detersion, budding, healing). The sheet can be cut to size. Washable, its impermeability means it can be used for showers and baths.

Precautions for use
Do not apply to infected wounds, as the moisture maintained under the plaster means that the plaster cannot be used on infected wounds. Combination with local antibiotics is not recommended.

Composition
- inner layer: natural hydrocolloid particles (gelatin, pectin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose with a finer granulometry for the HP form), inserted in an elastomer (polymer) network, adhesive.
- outer layer: polyurethane backing, waterproof.
