Descriptions
Urgo Algoplaque Film Plasters Hydrocolloid 5 cm x 10 cm is used to cover superficial wounds in the late healing phase (pressure sores, leg ulcers). It protects against friction and maceration in the case of beginner pressure sores. It has a high exudate absorption capacity. On contact with the wound, it forms a moist gel that protects the reformed tissue and promotes healing. Plasters are permeable to air, water and bacteria (they are impermeable to liquids, making them suitable for washing or showering). Elastic and adhesive plasters. Available in 5 sizes: 5cm x 10cm, 5cm x 20cm, 10cm x 12cm, 15cm x 15cm, 20cm x 20cm.

Directions for use
Remove the sheet of silicone paper protecting the adhesive layer. Apply to the surface to be treated, after cleansing with saline solution and drying. Allow the plaster to extend at least 3 cm beyond the edge of the wound. It can remain in place for 1 to 8 days depending on the stage of the wound (detersion, budding, healing).

Precautions for use
Due to the moisture maintained under the plaster, it is advisable not to apply it to infected wounds, ulcerations of infectious origin (tuberculosis, syphilis), extensive 3rd degree burns and mycoses. Store away from heat and moisture.

Composition
- extra-thin inner layer: semi-synthetic hydrocolloids based on sodium carboxymethylcellulose, gelatin and pectin inserted in a network of inert adhesive polymers. This inner side designed to cover wounds is protected by a sheet of siliconised paper to be removed before use.
- outer layer: semi-permeable polyurethane foam providing external protection for the wound.
