- calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate reduce the availability of dietary phosphorus by chelation in the intestines.
- chitosan is known to chelate uraemic toxins in the intestines.
- astragalus polysaccharides are known to help maintain the normal structure of the kidney.
- oligopeptides of marine origin help maintain balanced blood pressure.

Directions for use
Stir well before use. A slight sedimentation is normal. Administer preferably at mealtimes, using the dosing syringe:
- Cat: 1 ml/4 kg, twice daily.
- Dog: 1 ml/5 kg, twice daily.
This initial use may last up to 6 months.

Because of its palatability, Virbac Pronefra is easy to administer. can be mixed with food or administered directly into the animal's mouth using the syringe provided. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Water must be available at all times. Before use or before prolonging the period of use, it is recommended that you seek the advice of your veterinary surgeon.

Precautions for use
Keep out of reach of children.As Virbac Pronefra is a complementary food designed to maintain the balance of renal function in cats and dogs, this product may not be suitable for certain elderly animals or those undergoing medical treatment with particular digestive sensitivities related to their state of health. In the event of regurgitation, it is advisable to temporarily reduce the recommended amount of product for a few days, and to consult your veterinarian if the regurgitation persists. Store away from moisture and heat.
