THERAPEARL COMPRESS FOR THE KNEE

TheraPearl Compress for the Knee is made up of beads that combine hot and cold therapy to effectively relieve everyday pain. TheraPearl technology makes the compress flexible and malleable, allowing it to mould perfectly to the body. Non-toxic and reusable, this compress is ideal for relieving knee pain caused by arthritis, joint pain, pain before and after exercise, and inflammation after surgery.

Cold treatment (cryotherapy) allows for:
• decreased circulation (vasoconstriction).
• reduced nerve conduction and pain.
• decreased metabolism, limiting the risk of tissue damage.
• reduce oedema.
• reduce muscle stiffness.

Heat treatment (thermotherapy) allows:
• Increased blood flow.
• Increased elasticity and plasticity of collagen fibres (proteins that make up connective tissue).
• Pain relief.

Directions for use
Cold therapy: place in the freezer for at least two hours.
Heat therapy: place in the microwave for the duration and at the temperature indicated in the instructions for use.
Do not apply for more than 20 minutes. Wait at least 20 minutes before reapplying. If necessary, reapply for 20 minutes.

Precautions for use
Always test the temperature before application. Excessive heat or prolonged application may cause burns. Consult your doctor before use on broken, irritated, very sensitive or insensitive skin. Do not open or pierce. Do not swallow the contents. Do not use on infants. Use on children only under adult supervision. Heating for longer than the recommended time may damage the compress. In case of extreme, prolonged or chronic pain, consult a doctor.
