ACTIPOCHE KNEE

Descriptions
Actipoche Knee is a reusable cold or hot thermal pad designed to be applied to areas of the body suffering from rheumatic, traumatic or inflammatory pain. Its shape is specially designed so that it can be used like a knee brace on the knee joint.

The cushion comes with a protective cover.

Cold treatment (cryotherapy) reduces oedema and inflammation, stimulates blood circulation and can be applied to strains, blows and haematomas. Heat treatment (thermotherapy) increases blood flow, reduces muscular contractures and reduces pain: calms torticollis, muscular contractures, lumbago, etc.

Actipoche Knee is an ergonomic oval shape that opens completely flat. The central part, designed to be applied against the knee, has a patellar opening. The 2 rounded edges have Velcro straps to keep it in place. The cushion comes with a washable cover.

Directions for use
- Cryotherapy use: place the pouch without its cover in the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours or for 50 minutes in the freezer. Insert the bag in its cover and apply to the painful area for a maximum of 20 minutes. It is possible to keep the pouch permanently in the refrigerator for immediate use (but never in the freezer).
- Thermotherapy use:
1/ Microwave heating: place the thermal pouch folded in half without its cover in the centre of the microwave oven. Make sure that the edges of the bag do not touch the sides of the oven. Set the oven to 750 W maximum and heat for 3 x 10 seconds. Remove the pouch from the oven and knead it with your hands to distribute the temperature evenly (remove the pouch from the oven carefully, using oven gloves or a cloth for example). Repeat the operation until the desired temperature is reached, without exceeding a total heating time of 105 seconds (or 1 minute 45 seconds). If the pouch is too hot, allow it to cool. When the desired temperature has been reached, insert the pouch into its cover. Apply to the painful area for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
2/ Heating with hot water: heat water in a container until it simmers (enough to cover the pouch), then remove the container from the heat source. Immerse the thermal bag in the hot water without its cover, for no more than 1 minute. Carefully remove the bag from the water, without using a sharp utensil, and dry it with a towel. Check that the pouch is not leaking and insert it into its cover. Knead the gel with your hands to distribute the heat evenly. Apply the pouch in its cover to the painful area for approximately 20 to 30 minutes

Care
Wash the cover by hand or machine at 30°C, separately.

gel based on: glycerine, propylene glycol, carboxymethylcellulose, isothiazoline blend, colouring, water.
