Uritest 2 10 strips can be used at home to detect a urinary infection.

Properties
Urinary infections are particularly common in women. 35% of women suffer from it at least once in their lives and 5-10% of pregnant women. Any woman or young girl can experience burning that does not necessarily correspond to a urinary infection. Uritest 2 Strips are strips with 2 reactive zones for the visual determination of leucocytes (leucocyturia) and nitrites (nitrituria) in urine. This test is used to screen for urinary tract infections (cystitis). The determination is semi-quantitative for leucocytes and qualitative for nitrites.

Detection thresholds:
- leucocytes: 5 to 15 leucocytes/field. The test detects a concentration of 10 leukocytes/mm3 and above with a sensitivity of over 90%.
- nitrites: it is adjusted to a bacterial count of approximately 100,000 germs/ml (0.6 - 1.0 mg/l nitrite ion).

Directions for use
Preferably collect the 1st morning urine in a clean, dry container. Soak the strip and remove it immediately. Read the results after exactly 2 minutes, using the colour scale provided.

Precautions for use
Store at a temperature below 30°C. Do not refrigerate. For in vitro use only. Read instructions before use. Negative or positive results may occur. Keep out of reach of children.
