Salva Enema Bulb 280 ml is a rubber accessory onto which a vaginal or rectal cannula fits. With a capacity of 280 ml, the Salva bulb can be used for rectal or vaginal enema after injection of liquid. The Salva Enema Bulb from the Cooper laboratories can be used to perform a rectal enema or vaginal injection:
- A rectal enema is the instillation of a liquid into the rectum with the aim of provoking the evacuation of stools. The enema may be evacuatory or therapeutic, or used in preparation for an X-ray examination or surgical procedure.
- A vaginal enema is the injection of a liquid into the vagina for therapeutic or hygienic purposes.

With a capacity of 280 ml, Salva Enema Bulb is an accessory consisting of a flexible rubber bulb onto which one or other of the plastic cannulas with rounded ends fits, the wide vaginal cannula with a rotating jet at the end or the rectal cannula.

Directions for use
Before using Salva Enema Bulb, choose the appropriate cannula for the enema to be performed. Apply full pressure to the bulb. Dip the connector into the enema fluid. Gradually release the pressure on the bulb to allow the liquid to rise. Attach the cannula to the connector. Enema or injection as required. Before use, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Cautions
Introduce the cannula gradually to avoid injury. Never release the pressure once the cannula has been inserted. After each use, the cannula should be cleaned with an antiseptic solution. Do not bring into contact with greasy products (Vaseline, etc.) or chlorinated solvents (bleach, etc.). Store away from light, heat and moisture.
