Pranarôm Essential Oil Mandravasarotra 10 ml. Native to Madagascar, this evergreen, highly aromatic tree can reach 5 m in height. In Malagasy, Mandravasarotra means ‘that keeps evil away’. It is the plant most commonly used by people in the west of the island. In this Sakalava region, it is called either Motrobeatiagnana or Motrobeatianina, meaning ‘big fire in the entrails’ because the whole of its aerial part has a pungent, burning flavour. Depending on the different Malagasy dialects, it is also called Fanalamangidy ‘which removes bitterness’ or Mangidymanitra ‘which smells of bitterness’ or Sakarivohazo ‘ginger wood’ or Sakaihazo ‘chilli wood’.

Directions for use
As a massage, a few drops diluted in a vegetable oil for topical application.

Precautions for use
Keep out of reach of young children. Use with caution during pregnancy and breast-feeding, and in children under 3 years of age. Keep away from sources of heat and light. External use.
