Description for use, specifying target species
Parasite infections sensitive to fipronil.
Dogs:

Directions for use
Empty the pipette completely, directly onto the skin, parting the animal's hair, preferably at two points, at the base of the neck and between the two shoulders, to avoid licking. Apply to dry skin. It is very important to spread the hair between the shoulders so that the skin is visible: apply the product to the skin, not the hair. The Spot-On spreads over the whole body and concentrates in the sebaceous glands, which act as a reservoir. Week after week, they release the product, ensuring prolonged effectiveness.

Posology
Dogs from 2 to 10 kg: one pipette of Frontline Spot-On Dog S per animal 0.67 ml.
Dogs from 10 to 20 kg: one pipette of Frontline Spot-On Dog M per animal 1.34 ml.
Dogs weighing 20 to 40 kg: one pipette of Frontline Spot-On Dog L per animal 2.68 ml.
Dogs weighing 40 to 60 kg: one pipette of Frontline Spot-On Dog XL per animal 4.02 ml.
For dogs weighing more than 60 kg, apply a 4.02 ml pipette as well as a pipette of the appropriate lower volume. In the absence of tolerance data, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

Contre-indications
In the absence of available data, do not treat kittens under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use on sick animals (systemic diseases, fever, etc.) or convalescents. Do not use on rabbits as sometimes lethal side effects may occur. This product has been specially developed for dogs: do not use in cats as this may lead to an overdose.

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary drug to animals.
This product may cause irritation of the mucous membranes and eyes. Therefore, avoid contact of the product with the mouth and eyes. Animals or users with a known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should avoid contact with the medicine. Avoid contact of contents with fingers. If this occurs, wash hands with soap and water. In the event of accidental exposure to eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Wash hands after use. Do not handle treated animals and do not allow children to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day but rather in the early evening, and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with their owners, especially children. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.

Adverse reactions (frequency and severity)
In the event of licking, a brief period of hypersalivation due to the nature of the excipient may be observed. Among the extremely rarely suspected side effects: transient cutaneous reactions at the application site, skin discolouration, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema and general pruritus or alopecia have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms hyperaesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms, vomiting or respiratory symptoms have been observed after use. Do not overdose.

Use during pregnancy and/or lactation and egg-laying.
The speciality may be used during gestation and lactation.

Special storage precautions
Do not store at temperatures above 30°C. Store in a dry place.

Frontline Spot-On Dog L : a 2.68 ml pipette contains: active substance s: fipronil 268,000 mg. excipient s: butylhydroxyanisole e320 0.536 mg. butylhydroxytoluene e321 0.268 mg. ethanol 0.268 ml.
