Descriptions
Frontline Spot-On Cat 6 Pipettes eliminates adult fleas and ticks. Applied in one spot to your pet's skin, Frontline Spot-On Cat works in less than 24 hours, providing continuous protection.

Description for use, specifying target species.
Parasite infections sensitive to fipronil.
In cats:
- Curative and preventive treatment of infestations by fleas ctenocephalides felis and by ticks rhipicephalus spp. dermacentor spp. and ixodes spp.
- Elimination of chewing lice felicola subrostratus.

The duration of protection against new infestations is 4 weeks for fleas and 2 weeks for ticks. The drug can be incorporated into a therapeutic programme for allergic dermatitis caused by flea bites.

Directions for use
Vacuate the pipette completely, directly onto the skin, parting the animal's hair, preferably at two points, at the base of the neck and between the two shoulders, to avoid licking.

Posology
0.5 ml of solution per animal applied to the skin. In the absence of tolerance data, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

Contre-indications
In the absence of available data, do not treat kittens under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use on sick animals (systemic diseases, fever, etc.) or convalescents. Do not use on rabbits as sometimes lethal side effects may occur.

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals.
This product may cause irritation of the mucous membranes and eyes. Therefore, avoid contact of the product with the mouth and eyes. Animals or users with a known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should avoid contact with the medicine. Avoid contact of contents with fingers. If this occurs, wash hands with soap and water. In the event of accidental exposure to eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Wash hands after use. Do not handle treated animals and do not allow children to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day but rather in the early evening, and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with their owners, especially children. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.

Special precautions for use in animals.
It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick itself and to ensure that animals do not lick each other. Data evaluating the effect of a bath or shampoo on the efficacy of the product in cats is not available. However, on the basis of the information available on shampooed dogs from 2 days after application of the product, it is not recommended to bathe animals within two days of application of the product. Attached ticks may occasionally be observed. For this reason, the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely ruled out if conditions are unfavourable. Fleas often infest pets' baskets, sleeping areas and usual resting places such as carpets and sofas. In the event of massive infestation and at the start of treatment, these areas should be treated with a suitable insecticide and vacuumed regularly.

Adverse reactions (frequency and severity).
In the event of licking, a brief period of hypersalivation due to the nature of the excipient may be observed. Among the extremely rarely suspected side effects, transient cutaneous reactions at the site of application, desquamation, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema and general pruritus or alopecia have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms hyperaesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms or vomiting have been observed after use. Do not overdose.

Use during pregnancy and/or lactation and egg-laying.
The speciality may be used during gestation and lactation.

Special storage precautions
Do not store above 30°C. Store in a dry place.
