Elmex Sensitive Professional Mouthwash 400 ml is indicated for the daily hygiene and care of patients suffering from dentine hypersensitivity.

- People with bare dental necks and suffering from hypersensitivity for adults and children aged 6 years and over (when children are able to spit properly).

Main benefits
The Elmex Sensitive Professional Dental Solution works by filling the dentinal canaliculi. The arginine and copolymer adhere to the exposed dentine, forming a thin film that seals the canaliculi and prevents stimulation of the dentinal nerve fibres. Photoelectron spectrometry analysis (ESCA) showed that the filling of the dentinal canaliculi is mainly composed of arginine, copolymer and phosphate. Infrared spectroscopy (NIR) confirmed the presence of arginine in the film formed on the dentine surface. In addition to the results demonstrating the formation of a layer sealing the dentinal canaliculi, hydraulic conductance experiments showed that the treatment of dentinal canaliculi, with Elmex Sensitive Profesionnal Dental Solution, resulting in the reduction of dentinal permeability by 55%.

Directions for use
Rinse the mouth twice a day with 20 ml of Elmex Sensitive Professional Dental Solution for 30 seconds. Elmex Sensitive Professional Dental Solution is not recommended for children under the age of 6. Twice daily brushing with Elmex Sensitive Professional Toothpaste and Elmex Sensitive Professional Extra Soft Toothbrush is recommended.

Precautions for use
Do not swallow. Do not use on children under 6 years of age. Do not rinse mouth after using mouthwash.
