Elmex Junior Toothpaste 2 x 75 ml, intended for children aged seven to twelve, has been specifically developed with the needs of mixed dentition in mind. Permanent teeth, which start to appear around the age of six, are particularly prone to decay because their enamel is still porous and relatively soft at first. The high fluoride content of this toothpaste helps to harden teeth, making them more resistant to the acidic attack of plaque bacteria. This helps prevent cavities. Thanks to the specific properties of the amine fluoride Olafluor, Elmex Junior Toothpaste 7-12 years still exerts its carioprotective action several hours after brushing. Its pleasant taste motivates children to switch from a Children's toothpaste with a low fluoride content to one with a fluoride content adapted to their age.
