EFFIK GYNEFFIK PERINEAL ELECTROSTIMULATOR

Descriptions
Effik Gyneffik Perineal Electrostimulator wireless and programmable is used in women for home perineal rehabilitation. It is recommended for the treatment of the three forms of female urinary incontinence (stress, urge or mixed).

Properties
- In the treatment of stress incontinence, electrical stimulation aims to induce muscle contraction and improve the function of the pelvic floor muscles. 
- Lastly, to treat mixed incontinence, stimulation suitable for both stress urinary incontinence and urge urinary incontinence will be used.

Directions for use
The stimulator should be cleaned after each session, in off mode (remote control switched off). Clean with a mild soap, such as a feminine hygiene solution. Rinse well with water. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Store the stimulator in its charging case.

Precautions for use
Stimulation should be undertaken with the utmost caution in patients with total or partial uterine or vaginal prolapse. Genitourinary infections should be treated beforehand, and the patient's doctor should be consulted. In the event of local irritation, treatment should be temporarily interrupted. If problems persist, you should consult your doctor. Hypersensitivity to vaginal lubricating fluid may occur in isolated cases. The problem is usually resolved by changing the type of lubricant used. Electrostimulation should be used with caution if the patient is:
- connected to a monitoring device with body electrodes, as the stimulation may disturb the signals sent by this device
- in the immediate vicinity of a switched-on mobile phone, due to the possible change in power of the stimulator.

Contra-indications
Gyneffik must not be used in the case of:
- Implantable electronic devices, in particular pacemakers and intracardiac defibrillators, without the duly authorised opinion of a specialist doctor.
- Pregnancy.
- Genito-urinary cancer.
- Extra-urethral ‘incontinence’ (fistula, ectopic ureter) or overflow, linked to an obstacle to evacuation.
- Severe urinary retention.
- Total peripheral denervation of the pelvic floor.
- Immediate proximity to high-frequency and short-wave equipment (< 1 m).

Gyneffik is a class IIa medical device consisting of: 1 stimulator, 1 stimulator charging box, 1 remote control, 1 USB cable with 3 plugs and 1 electrical charger. The box also contains 1 user manual, 1 learning DVD, 1 quick start sheet and a ‘Read before using for the first time’ sheet.
