Biocanina Arthroplus 40 tablets is an adjunctive treatment for joint problems in dogs and cats.

Properties
- The integrity of articular cartilage is essential for maintaining locomotor skills and comfort in dogs and cats. In older dogs in particular, as well as large breeds and overweight dogs, osteoarthritis is more likely to occur, which can hinder movement and cause pain that can be disabling. Thanks to its original composition of chondroitin, glucosamine and MSM, Biocanina Arthroplus provides all the nutrients essential for cartilage and maintaining its integrity, which is necessary for good locomotion.
- Chondroitin stimulates the regeneration of damaged cartilage and inhibits the action of enzymes that destroy cartilage. Glucosamine sulphate stimulates the synthesis of collagen and proteoglycans by chondrocytes. Over 90% of it is absorbed through the digestive tract, and is concentrated in the joints, where it plays a protective role against the enzymes involved in joint catabolism.
- MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a plastic element that is essential for cartilage synthesis. Its action consists of reducing inflammation by increasing the effect of cortisol. By restoring the flexibility and permeability of the cell walls, it helps to eliminate internal pressure, thereby reducing pain and inflammation.
- The beneficial role of plants such as harpagophytum and meadowsweet is to accelerate recovery of joint mobility in dogs and reduce joint pain.

Directions for use
The highly palatable, easily scored tablet is to be mixed with the meal or given directly into the hand or bowl. The quantity to be given is:
- cats and dogs weighing less than 10 kg: 1/2 tablet.
- dogs weighing between 10 and 20 kg: 1 tablet.
- dogs weighing more than 20 kg: 1/2 tablet per 10 kg of weight.
A course of treatment of at least 3 weeks is recommended and may be repeated several times a year.
