Avène Self Tanning Moisturising Satin Gel does not protect against the sun.

Directions for use
Apply a thin, even layer to the face and/or body after cleansing and drying. Blend into hairline and eyebrows. The intensity and duration of the colour obtained depend on the quantity used and the frequency of application. For a long-lasting tan, apply the product until you achieve the desired colour, then 2 or 3 times a week for maintenance. This moisturising self-tanner does not protect against the sun.

Use the sun wisely
Do not expose yourself to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, between 11am and 3pm. Use sun care (wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, T-shirt, etc.). Do not expose babies and young children directly to the sun. To respect the level of protection indicated by the ‘sun protection factor’, apply a layer of 2 mg/cm² of skin, which corresponds to approximately 36 grams (6 heaped teaspoons) of sun care cream for an adult's body.
