ABATOUT RAT AND MOUSE BAIT FRESH PASTE 15 SACHETS

Descriptions
Abatout Rat and Mouse Bait Fresh Paste 15 Sachets has outstanding palatability on rats and mice, delivering excellent results even in areas with high food competition. The active ingredient is highly effective against rodents resistant to conventional anticoagulants. This mixture provides a heart-stopping treatment that is essential for effective control of both rats and mice. It has a delayed effect and does not arouse the distrust of rodents. They weaken, move away from the colony, hide and die within a few days. The active ingredient helps to dry out the rodent, preventing strong putrefactive odours.

Directions for use
For non-professionals in rodent control. For indoor and outdoor use around buildings. Read and observe the information on the product and all information accompanying the product or provided at the point of sale before use. Before using rodenticide products, consider the possibility of using non-chemical control methods (e.g. traps). Remove any food that is easily accessible to rodents (for example, scattered cereals or food waste). In addition, do not clean the infested area just before treatment, as this disrupts the rodent population and makes it more difficult for the bait to be accepted. Bait stations should be placed in the immediate vicinity of the area where rodent activity has been observed (e.g. runs, nesting sites, feedlots, holes, burrows, etc.). If possible, bait stations should be fixed to the ground or to other structures. Place bait stations in areas where there is no risk of flooding. Replace any bait in a bait station that has been altered by water or contaminated by dirt. Bait stations should be inspected every 2 to 3 days (for treatment against mice) or 5 to 7 days (for treatment against rats) after the start of treatment, and at least once a week thereafter, to check that the bait is accepted and that the bait stations are intact and to remove rodent corpses. Reload the bait station as required.
- Against rats indoors and outdoors: 100 g of bait per bait point spaced 5 to 10 metres apart.
- For mice indoors only: 30 to 40 g of bait per bait point spaced 1 to 2 metres apart.

Precautions for use
Do not open the sachets containing the bait. Place bait stations out of reach of children, birds, pets, livestock and other non-target animals. Place bait stations away from food and drink, including those for animals, and utensils or surfaces that come into contact with them. Do not place bait stations near drainage systems where they could come into contact with water. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. Wash your hands and any directly exposed areas of skin after using the product. Remove any remaining bait or bait stations at the end of the treatment period.

Specific measures and risk management
Envisage the adoption of preventive control measures (filling holes, removing any food and drink as far as possible, etc.) to improve ingestion of the product and reduce the risk of re-infestation. Do not use anticoagulant rodenticides as permanent baits (e.g. to prevent rodent infestation or to detect rodent activity). The product must be used in secure baiting stations. Use of this product should eliminate rodents within 35 days. Look for and remove rodent corpses during treatment, at least every time the bait stations are inspected. Dispose of rodent corpses in an appropriate collection circuit. Each baiting station must be labelled with the following information: ‘do not move or open’; ‘contains a rodenticide’; ‘product name or authorisation number’; ‘active substance(s)’ and ‘in the event of an incident, contact a poison control centre’. Dangerous for wildlife. Once the treatment has been completed, dispose of the bait that has not been eaten and the packaging in an appropriate collection circuit. Store the product in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed and away from direct sunlight. Store the product out of the reach of children, birds, pets and livestock. Due to their delayed mode of action, anticoagulant rodenticides work between 4 and 10 days after consumption of the bait. Rodents can carry diseases. Do not touch rodent corpses with bare hands; wear gloves or use instruments such as tweezers to remove them. This product contains a bittering agent and a colouring agent. Keep out of reach of children. Read and follow all instructions carefully. In the event of proven or suspected exposure: consult a doctor. Consult a doctor if you feel unwell. This product contains an anticoagulant substance. If ingested, symptoms that may appear, sometimes with some delay, include nosebleeds and bleeding from the gums. In some serious cases, bruising and blood in the stools or urine may be observed. Antidote: administration of vitamin K1 by medical/veterinary personnel only. In the event of skin exposure, wash the skin with water and then soap and water. In case of eye exposure, rinse eyes with eyewash solution or water, keeping eyelids open for at least 10 minutes. In the event of oral exposure, rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the product container or label. Contact a veterinary surgeon in the event of ingestion by a domestic animal. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with national regulations. Use biocidal products with care. Before use, read the label and product information.
