TipsHaler Inhalation Chamber With Mask Paediatric 1 to 6 Years has been developed to facilitate and optimise the taking of inhaled treatments for children from the age of 1 year. From the age of 12 months, the nose gradually becomes operational and plays its role as a filter against the inhalation of external particles. As it develops, it also helps to retain the medicine particles thanks to the cilia and nasal mucus. To ensure that the treatment is taken correctly, it then becomes essential to breathe in through the mouth. TipsHaler inhalation chambers are available for infants, children and adults with different mask sizes. Thanks to their specific technical features and their mask developed for each target population, the TipsHaler chambers optimise the deposition of the medication, in the deep lung, where it is effective.

Directions for use
Before using for the first time, it is advisable to clean TipsHaler with clean water. Shake the inhaler and remove the cap. Insert the mouthpiece of the inhaler into the rear adaptor of TipsHaler. Place the TipsHaler mask over your mouth and nose and press gently to ensure the mask adheres well to your face. Press down on the inhaler to release a dose of medicine and keep the mask on your face while breathing into the inhalation chamber for about 15 seconds. Then remove the mask from your face. Wait 30 seconds before administering a new dose of medication as prescribed by your doctor.

Precautions for use
Dismantle the TipsHaler components and then hand wash them in a mixture of clean warm water and washing-up liquid. Drain TipsHaler and leave it to air dry without rinsing. Once the TipsHaler components are dry, reassemble them in accordance with the assembly instructions, described in the leaflet. After using TipsHaler, remove the metered dose inhaler and replace its cap. Clean the inhalation chamber once a week in accordance with the cleaning instructions. Store and keep TipsHaler away from dust.
